House of Worship
Olga Rivera, a recent arrival from New York City, was taken aback when one of her bosses in Charlotte asked: “Do you have a house of worship yet?” It was before she even arrived here. It didn’t bother her, but she has had to correct those who assumed she is Catholic because she is Hispanic; she ended up at a nondenominational church.
